On this Green Think podcast, international artists Jean-Pierre Simons and Bianca Blesching explore just that with Coach Betty…how dancing can strengthen our relationships.

Listen to their fascinating work and story…

Jean-Pierre Sighé of West Central Africa’s Cameroon nation grew up in a cultural environment where dancing was part of normal living. Equipped with his African dancing background, he later discovered the Latin dances and immediately felt their appeal…particularly Argentine Tango.

His motivation for teaching Tango derives from his desire to share with others the beauty of this wonderful gift to the world from the Argentinean people. He does not want to simply teach a set of steps following some futile pattern. Jean-Pierre desires to faithfully transmit to others what he has had the privilege to receive directly from the Tango Masters – the spirit of Tango.

Bianca Blesching grew up in rural Germany. As a child, her inner appeal for dancing grew strong leading her to seek formal training in Hamburg, and a degree as a Certified Modern Dance Instructor and Choreographer with a focus on Improvisation.

Bianca followed her passion for dancing into Latin styles as she studied then taught Salsa. A logical progression in her exploration took her to the Tango world where she found roots.

Bianca is an instinctive dancer who is familiar with the rhythmic language as applied in African dancing. She enjoys the code of “call-response”, which plays a major role in improvisational exchanges between dancing partners.
