Joy from the Inside Out

Monday, December 22nd, 2008

Coach Betty and Giles talk about what it means to BE in joy in their lives right now in this 5 minute “WOA conversation” podcast. I know you will enjoy the quality of the sound…thank you Mark Lindsey!

In addition, I had an experience with joy this week that I want to share…maybe you will get some of your own ideas from it. I was offered a basket of homemade bookmarks this week which all had the word “joy” stamped on them. As I was offered the basket to choose one, my friend said “choose joy.” She was offering me no other choice. What if we always made that choice?  Is joy just a choice away?

Consider what a joyful life from the inside out would look like for you…it all starts with your vision.

What simple joy can you begin with today?

I Don’t Know, Do You?

Thursday, December 11th, 2008

Check out this 7 minute podcast as Coach Betty and Giles explore how to embrace the state of “I don’t know.”  It is an authentic place that we as humans ,who hate to fail and not know, such a hard time going.  Their conversation may open you up to new ways to handle that uncertain feeling.

The bottom line is that nobody ever knows what is coming next.  So many in the world feel that way right now with their jobs, homes, and where life is headed.  The good news is that this chaos makes it an ideal time to design where you want your life to go…from the inside out.

The Today Show recently featured coaching as the perfect holiday gift.  Coaching was cited as one of the growth professions for the next decade, for good reason.  Coaches collaborate with their clients to find the deep meaning in their lives and then find the most efficient, effective and user-friendly method there is to get them there.

Consider calling Coach Betty (415) 328-1724 or Giles for an inside redesign that will help you find your clarity in the midst of the chaos.  I don’t know, coaching may just be the answer we need to make the needed positive changes in our world.

Enjoy!

The actual preparation of and then eating these yummy dishes will support you as you get nourished from the inside out!

Autumn Soup

Collard Greens

Cook Greens in pot of water until tender. Cook Carrots in another pot of water until tender.

Put Beans, Greens (and a little of the water they were cooked in), Carrots (and a little of the water they were cooked in) into your blender (or food processor) and puree.

Pour 1 can of Broth into a pan and add blended mixture and stir. Heat and serve! (idea: add a dash of nutmeg or cinnamon just before serving.)

Roasted Sweet Potatoes

4-5 Sweet Potatoes or Yams
1 onion
Olive oil
Roasted beets (optional)

Peel and cut the sweet potatoes into chunks. Cut the onion into chunks too. Put the chunks into a bowl and coat with olive oil. Put in a baking dish and bake at 400 degrees for 30-35 minutes. Add chunks of roasted beets if you want a colorful, warm and yummy dish.
