The Brain from the Inside Out – Coming in 2009

We are very excited to have secured an interview with Jill Bolte Taylor for our January, 2009 internet radio show.  If you are not yet familiar with Jill Bolte Taylor, you are in for a real treat. See her picture below with the stained glass brain she created.  We are going to ask her about how we can use the information that deep inner peace lives in the right hemisphere of the brain to achieve more inner peace in our lives everyday.  You don’t want to miss this one!

Dr. Jill is a brain scientist who had a hemorrhage in the left side of her brain in 1996, and because she was a student of the brain, she understood what was going on during the stroke and wrote a fascinating book about the incident and recovery titled “My Stroke of Insight.”  There is a moving 20 minute video of a talk she gave at the TED conference that is well worth the time, and will explain why we are so excited about having her on the show.  You can access that TED talk at www.mystrokeofinsight.com.

In May of 2008, TIME  Magazine  chose Dr. Taylor as one of the 100 Most Influential People in the World and she was the premiere guest on Oprah’s Soul Series webcast. In addition, her interview with Oprah and Dr. Mehmet Oz on the Oprah Winfrey Show aired on October 21, 2008.

In February, 2009 we are hoping to interview Dr. Louann Brizendine who wrote “The Female Brain,” and is currently  writing “The Male Brain.”  The current brain research available is truly profound.  Women on Air will be staying on the cutting edge of these findings.

Stay tuned!
