“Women on Air” are reeling and rolling here at the conference for the Institute of Behavioral and Applied Management (IBAM). We presented a paper and led a discussion on females leaving corporate America for entrepreneurship (at the rate of 400+ a day). This presentation was important for WOA because we got to reemphasize one of our primary missions…to bring the feminine culture back into the workplace.
In preparation for the presentation, we reviewed the research and concluded that we need both male and female leadership in our world. As a matter of fact it was just cited this week in the news that more women in leadership (holding Board positions) results in more profit…see cnnmoney.com and the Fortune 500 Powerful Women Summit.
We have collected much material here in Reno to share with you, from the inside out of course. Speaking of the inside, we are eager to get back home as we are reeling from the neon pink and purple lights EVERYWHERE in the hotel…the Star Trek themed design is hard to take for more than 24 hours.
And as we write this, we see the inside/out tip is…that the outer environment has such a strong impact on our inner ability to function. We find ourselves holing up in our hotel room looking at the mountains to find some sanity and reality. We are in an environment with real smoke and mirrors. Our minds are boggled as we navigate our way through the casino–with the planetary carpet and flashing lights — we search for elevators to get us back to our safe environment. Until we get back home to fresh air and nature and our neutral toned carpet, ponder this…
Consider being a role model for a younger woman, someone who could benefit from your experiences, knowledge, successes and failures. This could be a huge force for change…
